1. Overview
Macqrx (“we”, “the app”) is a personal macaron bake notebook. We designed it so your bake journal stays on your device. This policy explains what information the app handles and what we do not collect.
2. Data stored on your device
Macqrx stores the following locally in the app’s sandbox (Documents / OvenPantry), not on our servers:
- Batch results (titles, recipes, humidity, scores, tags, notes, timers)
- Filling library notes and photos you add
- Optional climate diary entries
- Shell photos and optional voice notes you record
- Display name / avatar preferences and dial draft settings
- Local coin balance and purchase settlement markers for consumable packs
If you delete the app or use Clear All Data in Me, this local journal can be removed. We cannot recover it from a remote database because we do not host one for your bake content.
3. Permissions you may grant
- Camera / Photo Library — to attach shell or filling photos, or save an HD scorecard you export.
- Microphone — only if you choose to record a voice note on a batch.
- Notifications — for optional bake / rest timers and humidity reminders you enable.
You can change these anytime in iOS Settings. Declining a permission only disables that feature.
4. Purchases
Optional coin packs are consumable In-App Purchases processed by Apple. Apple handles payment details under Apple’s privacy policy. Macqrx only keeps a local coin balance and identifiers needed to avoid double-crediting a completed transaction on-device. There is no Macqrx account and no “Restore Purchases” flow for consumable packs.
5. Analytics, tracking & advertising
Macqrx does not sell your bake journal. We do not operate a Macqrx cloud profile for your recipes. Any App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, if shown by a build you install, follows Apple’s rules; bake photos and notes remain stored locally as described above.
6. Children
Macqrx is not directed at children under 13. Do not use the app to submit personal information about children.
7. Sharing & exports
When you use Share / PDF / HD export, the content leaves the app only through the system share sheet or Photos library you choose. We do not upload those files to a Macqrx server.
8. Changes
We may update this page when features change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of Macqrx after an update means you accept the revised policy.
